This is a super easy banana nut bread recipe with ingredients you likely already have in your pantry.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Grated peel of 1 lemon
2 large bananas, mashed (1 cup)
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
Combine lemon peel and bananas. Set aside.
In large bowl, cream butter. Gradually beat in sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time until well blended.
Alternately stir in flour and banana mixture until well blended. Stir in walnuts.
Turn into greased 9” x 5” x 3” loaf pan.
Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack 5 minutes, then turn out to cool completely.
