Here’s a classic Italian dinner everyone loves!
Don’t keep making the same old sauce. Try my mom’s Italian Spaghetti & Meatballs Recipe for a new twist on a classic that your family and friends will love.
Ingredients
For the Meatballs:
1 pound lean ground beef 2 tablespoons plain dry bread crumbs 1 egg 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper
For the Sauce:
1/2 cup chopped onions 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce 1 can (14-1/2 oz) whole tomatoes, undrained and crushed 1 1/2 teaspoons basil 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon oregano 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
1. In bowl, combine meatball ingredients. Shape into 20, 1 1/2” balls. Place on baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Drain.
2. In large saucepan, sauté onion in oil until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese and spaghetti. Simmer while meatballs bake. Add drained meatballs to pan and simmer, covered, an additional 20 minutes. Stir in cheese and serve over hot cooked spaghetti.
